Volume 1, Robert Forrest, Week 10 2022: Minnesota Vikings vs. Buffalo Bills
Having watched the opening drives on my phone at the in-laws after a delightful roast, (complete with Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings) I made it into the armchair with the score at 7 – 7.
It was a great start to the game with Justin Jefferson snagging a lovely touchdown to put us 7 up but 17 unanswered points had me worried. The Kirk Cousins interception was thankfully only punished with a field goal and thanks to some nice
3rd and long conversions, we were in the game at 17 – 10 after a short Greg Joseph FG.
Snack time!
It was then time to crack into the Sunday evening snacks and tonight it was some fantastic O’Donnells sweet chilli crisps alongside some fizzy pop.
The snacks unfortunately did not bring any luck for the Vikes. During the review of the big Devin Singletary fumble I returned with hope we’d level it up at 17 – 17 going into half time and boy I was wrong. Two incomplete passes by Cousins followed by Josh Allen doing Josh Allen things meant the Sunday snacks were now eaten with a scoreline of 10-24 . Half time means NFL RedZone and ignore the impending doom of the working week.
The halftime RedZone allowed for some time to check fantasy scores, stick the kettle on, and to decide what to order from McDonald’s. The Jacksonville Jaguars TD just before the half was also a highlight of the Hanson half time.
Second half & the golden arches
After kickoff, things were going swimmingly and I was confident we were going to reduce the Bills lead to 7…Kirk did some Kirk things and thank God we managed to stop the Bills scoring. Only answer when the football is going this badly is tea and a take away.
Thankfully McDonald’s has brought more luck than the previous snacks. The next play, boom! Cook to the HOUSE!
Do us all a favour, get rid of Greg Joseph. This McDonald’s needs to show up to make this easier to watch.
The fourth quarter was all a blur
Just jump Kirk. How have we lost from there….
Holy #$%^!!
McDonald’s will be ordered every Sunday from now on! I’ve never seen a game like this before. I haven’t been in my chair for the last 20 minutes!
Referees are stupid, Davis dropped that, could cost us the game.
Coin Toss won, that’s a good start.
It’s finally over!
I can honestly say that that game was the most ridiculous game of Vikings football since “Diggs, sideline, touchdown! The Vikings won and my emotions in that armchair were nearly identical to watching that New Orleans Saints game in the wee hours of the morning. My heart can’t take it much longer. SKOL VIKES!!
