Volume 2, Laura Nicklin, Week 10 2022: Minnesota Vikings vs. Buffalo Bills
It’s fair to say I was already pretty anxious before the game against the Buffalo Bills.
Like most, I keep track of our competitors to try and get a feel of how a game is going to go. I expected the game to be pretty intense and all I can say is, WOW, it did not disappoint!
A solid start
We had a solid start with a touchdown much to the joy of everyone in the house! And that’s when things took a turn – before we knew it, it was the third quarter and we were down 27-10! Approaching the end of the 4th quarter it felt like our fate was sealed, but then everything went wild and we all got to watch one of the best games of football we’ve ever seen!
That catch!
Now that we were back with a fighting chance, we were on the edge of our seats wondering if we could make it a tie or even take the lead! Then there was THAT catch by Justin Jefferson, which not only had us on our feet but restored our faith that we could do this!
In true Vikings fashion it was a non-stop heart racing game keeping all fans on their toes wondering just what was the outcome going to be. The final minute was a nailbiter with us finally getting that all important touchdown putting us in the lead!
Overtime
We were all but certain we had the win and all in high spirits and next thing you know the score is tied and we are into overtime. To say we were glued to the television was an understatement! When we initially failed to get to the end zone I thought it was game over for us and that’s when the interception happened and we secured the WIN!
Even writing about the game makes me feel excited just reliving it momentarily! All I can say it was a heart racer and it kept us all highly entertained especially in those final moments. It certainly feels good to have another win under our belts and we’re already full of anticipation to see what Sunday brings after what, for us, was the best game of the season yet!
