So why the Vikings?

So I started watching the NFL back in University when the student union would open late to show the Super Bowl. I had no idea what was going on but always watched it and enjoyed it. Fast forward a few years and I made friends with a Bengals fan and met my husband who eventually got completely sucked into the NFL so I started watching more. I wasn’t sure what team to pick, at one point I was thinking Saints as New Orleans looks fun! (boo hiss), eventually decided on Minnesota because I really liked ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and a character on the show supported them…. yeah it’s as simple as that.

Favourite player?

Classic would be John Randle, I treated myself to a nice Randle sweater at the London 2022 game. More recently is Stefon Diggs because the ‘Minnesota Miracle’ play was amazing and comes under our wedding highlights. Current favourite is Adam Thielen, he just seems like such a lovely guy even if he plays quieter now.

Favourite Vikings memory?

The Minnesota Miracle and the 2018 Linval Joseph touchdown! The camera panning to him and showing him taking in oxygen after that run was a sight to see! Additionally, obviously that ridiculous Jefferson catch this season and the ‘double doink’ at the London game! We got to see the ‘double doink’ in person!
