Baltimore Ravens @ Minnesota Vikings
U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN
November 9, 2025 – 6 p.m. BST

Can J. J. McCarthy lead the Vikings to a second straight win on Sunday?

The J. J. McCarthy experience continues this weekend, as he looks to follow up on a confidence-building victory over the Detroit Lions with his first win at U.S. Bank Stadium. Standing in his way will be the Baltimore Ravens and their own fit-again quarterback, two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson.

The Ravens have had their own struggles this season, going 1–5 through their bye week, though they’ve won both games since. With Jackson back in the team after a hamstring injury, he threw for four touchdowns in a 28–6 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football last week. Keeping him contained will be paramount if the Vikings are going to level up their overall series against the Ravens this weekend.

The Vikings are still looking for a second straight win for the first time this season, though. To find out how they can do so this weekend, and how you can watch the game live and in full here in the UK and Ireland, read on!

Keys to the game

Justin Jefferson notched only his second TD of the season against the Lions on Sunday

The Ravens have one of the most potent offenses in football, led by two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson under center. With his elusive running and a useful arm, Jackson has the ability to deconstruct a defense both through the air and on the ground. To make matters worse, he’s surrounded by weapons from RB Derrick Henry in the backfield to an elite receiving corps headlined by WR Zay Flowers and TE Mark Andrews. The Vikings defense will have to work overtime on Sunday to keep them all bottled up, but as they showed against Detroit, that’s something they’re more than capable of on their day.

On offense, Justin Jefferson finally got back into the end zone against the Lions, notching his first touchdown since week 1 against the Bears. However, the Lions managed to contain him to just 47 receiving yards, and he’ll be desperate to record only his third 100-yard game of the season sooner rather than later. Having an elite wide receiver in your team can draw the attention of the opposition defense, opening up opportunities for the likes of Jordan Addison, T. J. Hockenson and Aaron Jones, but sometimes you just have to feed your star player and let him show why he’s so highly rated.

Previous meetings

The Vikings and the Ravens are the only two teams in the NFL who wear purple, but their head-to-head record only goes back seven games since the Ravens franchise was founded in 1996. In that time, they’ve only met twice in Minneapolis, and the Vikings have been victorious on both occasions. In 2009, they held off a fourth-quarter Baltimore comeback to win 33–31 at the Metrodome, and in 2017, Kai Forbath hit six field goals – including two from 50+ – to lead the Vikings to a 24–16 victory at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Baltimore has the edge in the overall series between the two sides, however, with four wins to the Vikings’ three. The most recent meeting came in 2021, when Kene Nwangwu returned the opening kickoff of the second half 98 yards to give the Vikings a 24–10 lead, only for the Ravens to come back and win it 34–31 in overtime. But perhaps the most famous game between them came in 2013 at a snow-covered M&T Bank Stadium; with the Vikings leading 12–7 as the game approached the two-minute warning, the two teams combined for five touchdowns in the final 125 seconds to give the Ravens a 29–26 win.

Vikings injury report

The Vikings have only two players confirmed out for Sunday’s game – CB Jeff Okudah (concussion) and TE Josh Oliver (foot) – after neither participated in practice all week. S Theo Jackson (concussion) and RB Aaron Jones (shoulder/toe) are questionable, having both been limited after missing Wednesday entirely.

FB C. J. Ham (hand) and DT Jalen Redmond (shin) were limited during the week but are expected to be fit for the game. G Will Fries (calf) and S Josh Metellus (foot) both returned to full practice on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday, and should both play.

Ravens injury report

With quarterback Lamar Jackson having returned from a hamstring injury in last Thursday’s win over the Miami Dolphins, the Ravens have not reported any injury concerns ahead of this Sunday’s clash with the Vikings. T Ronnie Stanley was the only player listed on the team’s final injury report, taking a rest day on Friday, meaning that all 53 members of the active roster are expected to be available.
