2025 NFL draft – Minnesota Vikings pick tracker

One of the most anticipated events of the NFL calendar is here, where teams have the chance to sign prospects who could become cornerstones of their roster for years to come. Over the course of three days, we’ll see a lot of jostling for positions as teams try to steal a march on each other, the Vikings included. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2025 NFL draft.

What is the NFL draft?

The NFL draft, officially known as the Annual Player Selection Meeting, is one of the highlights of the league calendar. Teams take turns to select the best players from college and overseas in an effort to improve their rosters, picking in reverse order of how well they did in the previous season: the teams with the worst records pick first and the Super Bowl champions pick last, barring any trades.

Where is the draft this year?

The 2025 NFL draft is taking place at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, home of the Green Bay Packers. Some of the players expected to be taken in the first round will be in attendance, hoping to shake hands with Commissioner Roger Goodell once he announces their selection to the world.

What picks do the Vikings have in the 2025 draft?

The Vikings are currently slated to have only four picks in the 2025 draft:

  • Round 1, pick 24
    • Donovan Jackson, OL, Ohio State
  • Round 3, pick 102 – From Houston Texans
    • Tai Felton, WR, Maryland
  • Round 5, pick 139 – From Cleveland Browns
    • Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, DT, Georgia
  • Round 6, pick 201 – From Los Angeles Rams
    • Kobe King, LB, Penn State
  • Round 6, pick 202 – From Los Angeles Rams
    • Gavin Bartholomew, TE, Pittsburgh

Minnesota traded away their original second, third and fourth round selections in deals that resulted in taking OLB Dallas Turner with last year’s 17th overall pick.

They also traded their original sixth- and seventh-round picks to the Browns in the deal that sent DE Za’Darius Smith to Cleveland, receiving another fifth-rounder in return, while their original fifth-rounder went to San Francisco in exchange for the 49ers’ sixth-round pick and RB Jordan Mason.

The Vikings received an additional third-round pick as compensation for the departure of QB Kirk Cousins in free agency last year; however, they moved back in the third round, trading that pick away along with the sixth-rounder they got from the 49ers in order to pick up an additional fifth-rounder (142nd overall) from the Texans. That fifth-rounder was traded to the Seahawks in exchange for QB Sam Howell. The Seahawks also gave up the 172nd overall pick, which the Vikings then traded to the Los Angeles Rams for picks 201 and 202.
